Kenya

Most famously home to the Masai Mara, site of the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and other game; Kenya, with its wealth of wildlife and pioneering history make it a true highlight among the east African countries.

For many, Kenya conjures up images of the colonial era, and certainly sites such as Lake Naivasha, home to the late George and Joy Adamson, don’t disappoint. These days, happily, the economy is much more inclusive and the people groupings (sadly) are a little less distinct, however pockets of culture are still to be found; most notably among the people of the Masai.

The tours below are ideal for those who wish to start or end a longer tour with a visit to Kenya. Among the sites featured are Nakuru National Park, with its large population of trans-located leopard, the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha and Nairobi.

Stone Town’s tangle of narrow ancient alleyways makes it a fascination, while a short trip north leads to dazzling white beaches and unique accommodations.
